1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Mawruth ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Platform.

2. Description of Service

Mawruth operates an online auction marketplace for antiques, collectibles, and related items. The Platform facilitates transactions between buyers and sellers but does not own or take possession of items listed for auction.

3. User Accounts

You must create an account to participate in auctions. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Platform.

4. Bidding and Purchases

All bids placed on the Platform are binding. When you place a bid, you are entering into a legally binding commitment to purchase the item at that price if no higher bid is received. A buyer's premium of 15% is added to the winning bid price.

5. Payments

Payment is due within 5 business days of winning an auction. Payments are processed through our secure payment partner, Tap Payments. Failure to pay may result in account suspension.

6. Buyer Protection

Purchases on Mawruth are covered by our Buyer Protection program. If an item is significantly not as described, buyers may file a claim within 3 days of receipt. See our Buyer Protection page for full details.

7. Seller Obligations

Sellers must accurately describe all items and ship them within the specified timeframe after receiving payment. Sellers are responsible for ensuring items are genuine and conform to their listing description.

8. Prohibited Conduct

Users may not: engage in shill bidding, list counterfeit items, manipulate auction outcomes, circumvent platform fees, or use the Platform for any unlawful purpose.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on the Platform, including logos, text, and designs, is the property of Mawruth or its licensors. Users retain ownership of content they submit but grant Mawruth a license to use it for Platform operations.

10. Limitation of Liability

Mawruth acts as a marketplace facilitator. We are not liable for disputes between buyers and sellers beyond our Buyer Protection program. Our total liability is limited to the fees paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
